SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:
Provide the liaison between Quality Engineering and other departments in support of quality and manufacturing initiatives. This is a self-starter position to include resolution of component issues, data support, correction, corrective, and preventive action. Will support and meet the objectives and goals of Quality Engineering. Have strong oral and written communication skills. This position does not require having direct reports but may include indirect reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Functional Expertise· Provide problem solving (root cause failure analysis) and corrective action services.· Evaluate & perform "Process", "Product" audits.· Analyze field return information for areas of quality improvement.· Utilize QIS to access key information on R&D and manufacturing, defects, audits, and PSR information.· Provide Quality Engineering technical evaluation with Design of Experiments and Process Capability studies.· Evaluate or modify test procedures and approve.
Leadership/Change
· Supports or leads Continuous Improvement Processes, Department Objectives· Initiate ICAP's and ECAP's. Able to facilitate, implement, investigate, plan, and conduct effectiveness reviews for CAP's.· Create Top 5 Quality reports and facilitate meetings for Assembly & Fabrication Depts.
Interpersonal
· Develop Workmanship Standards, train and answer questions.· Facilitate and Answer test questions and test process activities.· Able to perform or train in equipment R & R studies.· Recommends revisions to specifications when needed. · Interfaces with other engineering groups as well as customers and suppliers on quality related issues.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
3166 5476-3|171 5411 4268 40· 3 to 5 years of working experience in the Quality or the Manufacturing areas of kitchen appliance manufacturing environment.· Knowledge of statistical process control concepts and their application.· Technical knowledge of kitchen appliance manufacturing processes.· Understand the concepts of reliability/durability.· Strong team building, leadership, decisiveness, and communication skills are essential. · Self starter capable of working with minimum supervision.· Proficient in the use of computer systems and software, Pro-E will be desired.· Certified Quality Engineer desirable.
