DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Understand, analyze and estimate specific product cost structures and targets, including understanding of key production processes and all other factors driving cost among purchased parts and commodities
2. Work with relevant project personnel to ensure best value for money on sourced items
3. Observe and translate manufacturing process parameters into cost models and estimates
4. Support sourcing and purchasing teams during negotiations
5. Provide cost expertise to organization to enable cost-down projects and value engineering
6. Identify/communicate/minimize component and/or system cost drivers
7. Collaborate with Project Team members and to drive lowest cost solutions, highlighting areas of cost concern and suggesting areas of improvement
8. Provide internal and competitive benchmarking analysis
9. Assist the Sourcing and Procurement teams in identifying, verifying and gaining approval of cost estimates/changes
10. Ensure that all costs are in compliance with procurement contract(s), including quotations and purchase orders
11. Producing regular cost reports, including individual cost progressions by supplier(s) and commodities, and advising management of any forecast cost drivers as soon as possible to allow corrective actions to be taken in a timely manner
12. Collaborate/coordinate with internal and external partners to improve cost knowledge in the company, driving behavior within the organization to be cost conscious and develop “design to cost” mentality
13. Provide feedback to the ISC organization to improve costing methods, tools, and knowledge
14. Work with business controller and other financial functions to ensure adequate financial controls, establishing monthly evaluation of cost control and reduction as a measure of Procurement performance.
15. Other duties as deemed necessary by (Associate) Director of Supply Chain.

2. ERP Maintenance checks
QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 years’ experience in sourcing and/or procurement related positions and/or cost analysis related positions
• Proficient in written and spoken English language
