Role Requirements:
• To provide direction & strategy to develop new and existing regional / global supply partners-(Mechanical parts-Plastic, Metal stamping, casting, machining, extrusion etc) in support of business growth & customer expectations.
• To anticipate and identify supply risks and develop mitigation strategies for Sourcing team to take actions.
• To manage, lead and provide training to the Sourcing team, to improve their knowledge , team performance levels and their skill set development.
• Conduct appraisal to direct reports, develop people management skill and implement succession plans
• Ensure team Conduct global and regional sourcing practise in accordance to company legal requirements, code of conduct & integrity.
• Develop strategy & implement yearly cost reduction initiatives to meet set KPI target, with matrix and none matrix suppliers.
• Hold regular communications with global & sites teams in regards to delivery & quality issues.
• Develop key metrics for sourcing function, and communicate its status to key stakeholders
• Work with global team, in deployment of methodology & suppliers consolidation & cost reduction strategy.
• Work with NPI team & customer team, on mechanical part’s DFM, EQ/TQ, FAIR, during product development stages.
• Ability to manage & provide guidance to sourcing team, to execute strategy & suppliers development.
• Able to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities and schedules. This encompasses influencing across departments to achieve goals.
• Able to build stable and useful working relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Able to communicate effectively with people at various levels in an organisation.
• Provide competitive price to quote team for new business RFQ. Able to review & analyse quoted price from suppliers to maximize win rate.
Personal Requirements:
• Must possess a minimum of 10 year’s experience (min 2 to 3 years management experience) in the CEC sourcing / supply chain development. Experience should encompass a working knowledge of regional & global sourcing practice within contract manufacturer in HMLV environment.
• Must be qualified in Engineering Degree or equivalent, with good English language communication & negotiation skill, will be an added advantage.
• To have knowledge in all CEC commodity with ability to estimate cost structure of commodity.
