Desired Profile:
(a) Age: Less than 35 years
(b) Gender: No bar (Either male or female)
(c) Qualification: Should have some engineering background, an additional qualification of MBA will be preferred.
(d) Experience: Person having worked in a motor manufacturing industry and familiar with all manufacturing process, quality checks and costing will be highly preferred. If not, the person must have strong experience of Sourcing, Development, and Purchase of electrical motors for fans (axial or centrifugal) for appliances like air coolers or air conditioners or both. Must be familiar with motor testing equipment and instruments.
Also preference will be given to candidates having worked with ERP systems. Should be familiar with CCC, CE, UL, ROHS, REECH etc. certifications for motors.
(e) Industry Size for previous experience: Medium size (50M to 500M RMB sale revenue per year) organizations (preferably multi-national)
(f) Soft Skills: Must have excellent negotiation skills, communication skills, and Inter-personal skills.
(g) Language skills: Must be fluent in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese). Working knowledge of English preferred.
(h) Current location and family location: Preferably Dongguan, or, at least within Guangdong province and within 150 kms of Dongguan
(i) Regions familiar with: Should be familiar with sourcing from several regions of China, including Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other important sourcing locations.
Job Description:
Sourcing specialist will report to the Sourcing Manager, and, will broadly carry out the following functions:
1) Continuously locating new and alternative sources for various types of motors used for air cooler models across Symphony group for competitive advantages (cost, quality, delivery capacity)
2) Audit new prospective suppliers for suitability
3) Continuously arrange to negotiate costs and terms with existing suppliers. Guide the buyers for the same, and, also get involved in the negotiations, to meet the annual targets of cost reductions.
4) Keep the records updated in ERP systems and communicate with Finance from time to time
5) Support the quality function for achieving desired quality levels in all supplies
6) Ensure JIT and VMI for the operations team
7) Periodically reconcile the accounts with all suppliers
8) Assist design and innovation functions for getting desired samples, cost information etc.
