Position Summary:
EHS Officer will support the development and implementation of the Company’s EHS management system in China, by achieve the Company’s EHS objectives and follow the Company’s EHS policies. The job will implement suitable strategic EHS initiatives to control Health and Safety risks.
Responsibilities:
(1) Responsible for government audit or inspection, documentation submission etc.
(2) Conduct job risks assessment, audit to identify unsafe behaviors, substandard conditions, and quickly formulate recommendations and corrective actions with agreed time frames.
(3) Support Group and Business Units management in ensuring all employees, visitors, contractors and suppliers are in compliance with the Company’s EHS policies.
(4) Maintain EHS documentation.
(5) Investigate reports of accidents, dangerous occurrences and fire damage, determine their causes and make recommendations for improving recurrence prevention and controls.
(6) Conduct EHS review on new chemicals and the evaluation of controls at workplace to manage potential risks.
(7) Deliver EHS training to workers and business unit management to maintain the vigilance and awareness among the workforce and ensure the EHS “should-be- condition” in the workplace.
(8) Provide professional EHS advice to Operation, Maintenance and Facility departments to ensure the machine and equipment used are safe.
(9) Coordinate the occupational health surveillance of frontline workers exposure on hazardous positions.
(10) Based on requirements of regulations, arrange the Environmental emission monitoring and hazardous factors measurement at factory, which are conducted by certified 3rd parties.
(11) Provide EHS professional support on ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 certification, and coordinate the internal and external audit of EHS management system certification for all C&S Business Units.
Requirements:
(1) Bachelor degree with Chemistry, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or EHS educational background.
(2) 3-5 years Manufacturing operational and/ or EHS experiences.
(3) Good communication, interpersonal and project management skills.
(4) Good spoken and written Chinese and English.
