Job Objective
Lead product development and pricing for assigned groups of products, coordinated new features and designs while maintaining brand identity. Provides the vision, drive, and on-going product management to make the product category as powerful as possible, and will be accountable for annual growth of assigned group of products.
Key results areas
Strategic planning – new product
-Through PPM & VOC process to drive product development projects, which are initiated from market back, customer expectation, competitive dynamic, industry trend and in-house capability analysis.
-Define the gaps are in the entire product portfolio based on culture trends, customer demand, competitive threat, and corporate strategy.
-Define the new product positioning, pricing strategic and margin expectation, in order to drive new product achieve breakthrough goal
Product Development & Planning
-Lead the design efforts for new and current products
-Help develop and drive procurement and sourcing plan for products
-Communicate with sales management to ensure the new product projects are met the market needs.
-Develop new product specifications, including estimated product costs, technical specifications and design/ style parameters
-Coordinate with TX relevant department to drive required product changes
-Work with Product Marketing department to ensure given product lives up to brand promise, positioning and is appropriately differentiated.
Product development process
-Understands full product development process and the motivations of each department in TX to complete the project on time.
-Provides coaching and insight to team members to ensure they do their part to bring their efforts to completion on time, within budget, and to quality and functionality targets.
-Drives standard work changes for PD portion of the PLM, PPM, PDM, VOC process to improve as necessary.
-Understands risk areas and shows an active working knowledge of how to call out and circumvent risks.
-Excels in managing through concurrent meeting either in-house or OEM.
On-going product management
-Accountable for management of full product cycle of assigned product portfolio
-Accountable for regular product performance tracking, analysis, and reporting
-Accountable for driving appropriate product obsolescence
-Through Product Portfolio Management process to manage proactively of the life cycle of product, in order to seek opportunity for additional margin from 4 levers – New Product Sales, Pricing Optimization, Cost Reduction & Complexity Simplification.
80/20
-Ensures appropriate justification and internal consensus, timeline tactical plan, and TX & sales department communications.
New Product Training
-Developing and giving new product training to sales department and dealers in support of new product launch.
Budgeting
-Plan and accountable for the expense of NPD
-Communicates budget well to all related parties.
-Enforces spend management to the budget

Sales or Marketing experience in office furniture and, or
Basic knowledge of product production and, or
Project management and, or
